Profiles for the main characters have been provided ( See: WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? ) On just the main characters. So stick to the personalities. Some may now have personalities on the thumbnails that have been provided as refs. If they are not there, do two OR one of the following:

Go by the rules in the couples which says 'HOW THEY ACT' and follow that instead.
If you have the chance, go browse the person's gallery and look at pictures for how their character acts and take from there. But PLEASE stick with how they act and keep it clean, got it?

You can add your own characters if you wish, but you would need a reason WHY they are there. So only add your own characters if you have a reason behind it please.

Sooo, The characters DON'T have to be done in JUST Sonic style. If you wish to do them as any of these other choices:
Anthro, Anime/humans, Robots or Ponies/Dragons. Or ANY style, even if its your own.

TIPS
I know this is meant to be a lovey dovey sort of thing, but if you are -really- stuck. You can do an action type thing.

Like damsel in distress, hero saves the girl from danger, just been in a fight and laughing it off, working together as a team or a re-united scene.
You could even do them based on couples from movies/Fairytales. Examples: Sandy & Danny (Grease), Ariel & Eric (little mermaid), Romeo & Juliet(movie has the same name),Baby & Johnny(dirty dancing) and so on.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Naruto and Hinata. Simoon doesn't have any confidence within himself and falls in love with Michelle due to her beaming confidence and optimism. And also her bubbly personality, but Simoon teaches Michelle some stuff he knows in return.

You can Draw Normal Nesp/ older Nesp
If you do NORMAL Nesp, you can change his bandages round all you want but make sure, he has bandages on. Also everyone gives his spikey cuffs, different designs. So feel free to do your own design <3.
As for OLDER Nesp Make sure its always a Jacket with spiky cuffs. You may change the colour of the jacket, but only to the colours he normally wears. (you can see this in his ref pics)
As for Shelly cat(with her being me) Always keep her wearing jeans. Mostly blue or black, you can add any patterns. For tops, make sure its like these tops:

This couple Have fun and giggles together. Always joking with one another, having a General chat together or Nesp teaching Shelly some fight moves(How he fights). If they're not doing that, they can be found cuddled up asleep, chasing each other round the house or sight seeing.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Zidane & Garnet from FF9. HOWEVER Nesp ISN'T perv like Zidane (some people call Zidane a perv anyways since he touched Garnet's bum, so just to be safe lol) and Shelly is..well you all KNOW me how I talk. I'm not royalty so I’m probably abit more open then Garnet and able to laugh about things.

Type of Love
This love is like a love/hate relationship. So keep their love nice, argumental but strong.


Their Style
Keep their styles to kind of what they wear now please. Anything flowy for Monarch, as for Shivus, anything with swirls. They can be any colour you choose though for their outfits. Again keep them clean.


How They Act
Tip: Monarch's personality is anything posh, he loves pocky, he's well spoken and HATES cold weather.
This couple are either at each other’s neck or having fun. They're either having a lovely work together, arguing about who's stronger or having a play/practise fight. If they're not doing this they can be found having a general discussion, asleep together or having a REAL fight.


What couple are they similar too?
This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Rouge and Knuckles from the Sonic series. Although they are rivals, you can tell just by little tiny hints..that they actually DO like each other not matter how many time they say, they don't.

This love is a Playful/romantic love. So keep it playful, romantic and fun loving.


Their Style
Adrian wears elegant clothing and sometimes like to dress Frost as his princess.
As for Frost she likes to wear skippy clothes so she feels warm constantly.
Basically something along the styles they wear now.


How They Act
This couple can be found being playful by teasing one another, sometimes can be shy/blushy like when on a walk or perhaps at a cafe or they can be found having a nice general discussion about plans. If they're not doing this they can be found star gazing, giving each other compliments (Adrian giving Frost more compliments keep in mind) or playing jokes on one another to get a rise out of each other.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Squall & Rinoa from FF8. Only Adrian is Less Moody and Frost is probably more Teaseful then Rinoa.

For Nega Shelly I do not mind what she wears as long as it isn't TOO overboard. Shes casual but nice.

Like O'Malley, Bru can be a bit of a flirt or in this case charming Nega Shelly with his ways, but even he can be a little shy. However Nega Shelly can be a tease and ignore his flirty charms, but can't help but smile at his shyness.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Cinderella & Prince Charming. Flinzy, although she did not have step-sisters. She was abandoned as a baby and raised by an eagle who wa slater killed in a battle (thats why she has the red ribbon on her tail) and soon she meets Loki. Although Mischevious and crazy, he has his sweetheart charming side.

Their Style
Something like a dark military uniform.
Something commander-like for Croc, and something almost empress-like for Diamond.

How They Act
This couple can be found robotocizing mobians, discussing plots on how to capture people/general discussion or perhaps having a giggle about a silly mistake or a fault in the machinery. If they're not doing this they can be found just enjoying a walk, having a play fight (getting distracted from what they're originally doing like working lol.) or perhaps playing jokes on each other just so they can see the other get angry/taunt how pretty/handsome they look when they are angry.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Sonic & Amy From the Sonic series. Diamond is like Amy, who adores Croc and gets jealous around other girls, even if they girls AREN'T even attempting to steal Croc from. However Croc doesn't run away like Sonic does, he handles Diamond different by teasing her or tricking her.

Their Style
Keep along the lines of what concs wears now. Also you can give him gauntlets any style.

This couple can be found exploring places( like old tombs and such ), Relaxing together or having a date in a restaurant/twinkle park. If they're not doing this, they can be found walking by the lake at night/star gazing, playing games (Like tossing rocks across the water) or swimming together.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Sora & Kairi from Kingdom hearts. Shy and innocent, although they remain friendly, you can tell there is a vibe between the two.

Their love is a Shy love. So please keep their love caring, sweet and timid.

For Celeste, keep her to the style she wears now. The pink dress but feel free to put it any other colour.

This couple can be found Teaching/learning from one another (e.g.: Timber teaches Celeste about things while Celeste teaches Timber to be more open), gazing at the stars together or enjoying a stroll through the park. This couple can be found dining together on a picnic/cafe/restaurant, hanging out together/relaxing or training together. If they're not doing this they can be found asleep in each other's arms, drawing together or travelling/dining

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Mickey & Minnie Mouse, from Disney. Why? Because their love is just so cute and Romantic, even if Mickey upsets Minnie at times they always stay together and kiss and make-up <3.

This couple can be found helping or teaching one another (Clift shows Kita interesting stuff, while she shows him some interesting Gypsy stuff), protecting one another (mostly Clift protecting Kita) or found running in the rain (Kita enjoying it and Clift running after her with an umbrella!). If they're not doing this they can be found Reading a book together, relaxing outside having a nice chat or star gazing.

This Couple kind of has the same relationship as Zelda & Link, from the Legend of Zelda series. Clift like Link, is protective of Kita, yet both of them although one braver then the other. Can have there shy moments.

Be creative as you wish. I want to see how imaginative/creative you all are! You could have the couples in a city, forest, swimming, at a fun fair/theme park. Anything! However since I want you to be creative, I would like you to come up with ideas specially for the scene/background where one of the couples are either being playful, teaseful or romantic.

You can also do the couples in ANY type of season. Summer, Winter, Spring or Autumn. OR even have them on Holiday visiting another place Examples: Spain, Greece, Disneyland etc. Use what I have put about their love to help you think of ideas and just use your imagination. But be sure to stick to their personalities best as you can please. You could also put a little story behind your pictures if you wish to explain whats happening, why the couple is there etc. Feel free to do so, it'll add to detail not just in the picture, but the reason itself.

If you are stuck on what to think of here are a few cute/romantic/playful Ideas to help you out. But only apply this to the couples you think WOULD do this sort of stuff.


The couple could be snuggled up in bed, in Pj's reading a book together / watching a movie / Pillow fight.


The couple could be snuggled up together gazing at the stars / sitting by a lake / Watching the sunset or sunrise.


The couple could be having a playful race / a game of tag / hide and seek / Maybe a play fight.


The couple could be dining together in a restaurant / cafe / a picnic.


The couple could be dancing in the rain / Hugging in the rain / Singing in the rain!

Those are just a few examples. Use them to your advantage to be creative. As I do hope these little examples will help you with ideas, but maybe not do JUST those ideas I've mentioned. But to help you create your own ideas, if you do with to use any of these examples then try and transform them into your own style.

Detail, creativity/imagination, How well you've use the couples style of love and personalities and perhaps the scenery you've set them in. And also story/reason if you have put a story or reason behind the picture of the couples.

However I will not judge this myself. I will get other people to judge to help me out with the entries. I'm not saying who the judges are, thats a secret .

1. Can I join the contest?
YES! *points to banner at very top of the journal*

2. Can I enter more then once?
YES you can. If you want to, but another entry would have to be of a DIFFERENT couple from the list. And if you do a comic the limit is 5 pages or less. No more then that.

3. Will We, the public be able to vote besides the judges?
That I have yet to figure out, as I'm not very keen on it. Depending on how the contest goes, we shall see what happens.

4. If me and a friend enter with a collab, how does the prize system work for us? (If we get a prize of course?)
That’s a tough one. I guess it would depend who did the most work, but that will not be fair to the other person =/. The only solution I can think of is, if you DO win one of the prizes..
Is to think together for a prize, EXAMPLE: you and your friend pick one character each for Ink and Digital
OR
Go half and half, EXAMPLE: depending on what prize you win, if one prefers just an inked picture, then the other can have the digital.
(One could have a couple pic or vice versa)

5. How many times does the END DATE get extended?
Once -ONLY- if your entries are not in before the end date, stated above this section.

6. Are we allowed to Use Offcial characters?
Nope, Fan characters ONLY please.

7. You said we could do the couples, based on couples from Movies/fairytales. Can we do them based on video game couples as well?
